Friday offered some incredible conditions at Pipeline. The swell was maxing out, and breaking pretty clean on all of the reefs at Pipe. Surfline was streaming live footage online all day- that’s how good it was. I headed out to see the action just before sunset after a long day of work. In half an hour, I ended up shooting some of my favorite photos of all time. I hope you enjoy these! If you would like a print, please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
My view from the beach access when I arrived. Needless to say, I wish I hadn’t worked all day.
There were lots of onlookers checking out the action.
I’m sure a few dozen boards were broken out at Pipeline on Friday.
Here is one of those broken boards.
Waves on waves on waves
A glimpse into the shore break
Pipeline doesn’t get much better than this.
Lots of people enjoyed the show.
Offshore winds and a beautiful sunset make for some fun shots!
One of the 50 or so surfers who were still out at about 7
How did you end your work week? This dude got shacked.
An un-ridden wave over at Off The Wall
Dark and cavernous wave
Dropping in under the sunset
Here’s one of many that were rolling through at Second Reef
A lot of people were snapping shots in front of the sunset. It was too good not to.
And then it was time to pack up and go home after a great evening at Pipeline.
