Wow, it has been a while since I have posted photos on here! My apologies, but the past month has been a busy one filled with work! I’m going to make a diligent effort to shoot more photos while the surf lasts this season. So that means keep checking back often as long as we’re getting swell here on the North Shore.
Anyhow, yesterday was great at Rocky Point and Gas Chambers. I actually don’t know if I have ever seen the left at Gas Chambers barrel so hard. I was only able to shoot for about two hours before lunch…. I hear the evening was even better! Below are my shots from the morning. Enjoy!
One of the better airs I have seen.
Really, this is a pretty awesome air.
Racing the lip
A surfer debates the paddle out while another shreds the face
About to smash through a closeout
I love shooting from this perspective at Rocky Point.
A nice carve at Rocky Point
Throwing down a solid hack at Rocky Point
This guy was launching some ridiculous airs at Rocky Point
Every wave, he launched nearly 10 feet up for an exit
I’m going to call this a pretzel turn. That’s flexibility.
Another great air at Rocky Point
Can’t really beat this air… Don’t know who this guy is, but this is textbook.
An interesting view of an air. If only the tripod was about an inch to the left!
Throwing down at Rocky Rights
A nice turn earlier in the morning at Rocky Point
Girls shred at Rocky Point too
This is probably one of the better eject shots I’ve taken.
The body boarders were going hard yesterday
Another body boarder launching upwards
A nice smooth wave from yesterday
This is why Gas Chambers is one of my favorite waves to surf here on the North Shore
Backside air at Rocky Point
Hitting the lip at Rocky Point
A nice little barrel, if it lets him continue
Another great view of the action from the point
Another solid turn under a gloomy sky
I think he saw this air going differently. Or it was a very flashy eject!
Dragging the hand on a nice little barrel
Throwing down a great carve at Rocky Point
A monochrome carve.
Exit shot: One of my favorite air shots at Rocky Point.
